No Matter What
No matter what
We’ve managed to stick together this long
Maybe it’s the fact that we make a cute couple
Or that we both hang on to each other
Maybe it’s because you love me
And that I love you
I sit here and think about you
I open up my closet door and see our initials carved in the wood
I flip through the pages of my diary and cry over and over again
I write,
Yet again,
Another poem
I try to convince myself
He’s not a great guy,
He’s hurt me too many times
I try to move on
But it just doesn’t work the way I plan
And when I finally give up
I realize I like you even more
I realize that I cant see my life without you in it
