I step out those black heavy doors
A new world opens up before my eyes
The sun sneaks through the small parts of the tall green trees
A blanket of shade covers most of the ground
The castle like walls cage me in from the outside land
Fresh air finds its way to me, reaching my lungs
The wind not only teases me but plays its music through the rustling of the leaves
Old worn tables, some green, some brown pick their special spots to be eaten on
The windows surrounding me let me see what the other kids see
Trash blows across the grey gum filled pathment, showing off the habits of high school kids
Doors surround the walls, giving me so many options to where I want to go
The zigzag of the walls gives you a feel for creativeness
A statue stands tall and bold, its stays a mystery to whom it may belong to
Rust shows the age of the statue, years of memories
Only the sky stays visible leaving me with a hint of the day ahead
Bugs crawl fast; to them this land is endless
To me, this land is peace
