Watching
As I sit on the porch and hear
the crickets chirping
And the cars go bye on 8 mile
I see two black squirrels chase each other
And hear and see
Children laugh and smile
As the tree leaves from the wind that is blowing
I look around and admire the houses with Halloween decorations showing
As the birds fly over my head
And the cold
Fall air blows on my skin
I sit with a smile on my face an say
I’ll never do this again
