i lay in my bed,

which is in my house,

which is in the middle of Colorado

i quiet myself down

and i hear the waves crashing against the shore

i hear the seagulls scream and cry as they watch in horror

i listen to the sand shuffle over my bare feet

and i watch my hair dance in the wind

i lay in bed,

my windows are closed

and i am miles away from an water source of the kind

but yet i hear the ocean
