I know love
I used to think the word love was just a word.
No dictionary could tell me exactly what the word meant.
It was just there.
It was expected.
I heard it a million times a day.
From a million different mouths.
But not once from the heart.
If it came from the heart a person would know right?
So I went through my life saying I love you too.
But never knowing exactly what I was saying.
Until I met him.
Time seemed to stop.
I couldn't get a grip of anything that seemed real.
I thought he was to good to be true.
Until he pinched me and told me I wasn't dreaming.
He spelled the words out on my skin as if he were tracing it.
I knew what he was doing but I didn't know if he meant it.
Then I looked into his eyes and saw everything I've ever wanted.
I smiled. He smiled.
And I said I love you too.
For the very first time I meant it.
I could actually understand it.
Love isn't just a word.
Its the best feeling in the world.
