Cold punch cuts.
Blow grazes.
Digs in.
Ringlets of flamed
sparks shoot
through his arm
in spears.
Still he fights
fury life spits
from its foul
mouth.
Fists curl
and fingernails
bite insides of gloves.
Crush.
The shadow slides
down the ropes
and only he
Stands.

I wrote this piece in junior poetry class. I go to a School of The Arts in Florida where I major in creative writing.
