I Run

One foot in front of the other;
Ponytail bouncing;
Heart pounding;
Adrenaline pumping;
Determination aglow in my brown eyes;
I run.
I run to push human ability;
To test the limits of asthmatic lungs.
I run to be free.
Free from the worries of the world;
Free from fear;
Free from sadness;
Free from anger;
Free from disappointment.
I run to escape my emotions,
Burning within.
I run because if i run fast enough,
I am untouchable.
