Sound of a Storm

Thunder deafening
Signaling the lightning to strike
as it hits the ground
look out the window to see
the rain pouring down hard
with not merely a drip drip
but with a SPLASH and KERPLASH
that is similar to a waterfall
clashing to the ground below
with an unstoppable massive force
capable to shake the earth
To rumble so loud
we could hear it even here
Only in a storm
Along with the wind making a whoosh and whistle in the air
Like a dog whistle
Yet we hear it
Oh, we hear it
Only in a storm
Sound of a storm
