trickster's flower
It's never seemed so beautiful
I've never fallen so hard
It's never hurt so much
It swallowed me whole
What I thought was a beautiful flower was really a ugly beast
It captured my eyes
Then my soul
So now in shackles I shall stay
Chained to the wall of ignorance
I am now truly blind
Not selectively
I shall be here forever
Never a wavering link in these chains I wish to break
I will be devoured piece by piece
Over and over again
Until nothing remains but scraps of what I once was.
And in the end I shall be the lesson for you.
Please don't forget me.
Learn for me.
From me.
Learn that beauty is a tricksters greatest game.
