His sorrow filled face burns like a merciless brand into my hyperactive imagination

Guilt and relief flows outward from my heart, leaving a dull, and golden glow on my clammy, sun kissed skin

A sigh escapes my unkissed lips with a hint of remorse, flowing into the balmy, carefree air

Somewhere within a smile erupts pushing its way to the surface, for this is my canvas, my story- none of which he will print on but me

A smile of no regret- just another chapter of this novel I call my life
