I Love It When It Rains
I love it when it rains.
The earth is renewed;
The grass breaths
A sigh of relief.
And so do I.
Before the rain,
It might be dreadful.
The thunder and lightning,
Can be something awful.
But overall, it's worth it
In the end.
During the rain,
The earth seems
To stand still.
The only sound is
Drip-drop, drip-drop
Maybe it's a light sprinkle,
Maybe a heavy downpour.
After the rain…
It has to be the best part.
The fresh smell,
As if the earth and trees
Have been cleansed.
An all natural bath.
I love it when it rains.
