I Wish

Sometimes I wish I could write
Sad things
That made people cry
And think about their dreams.
Sometimes I wish I could Sing
Pretty songs
That made hearts leap
And right things wrong.
Sometimes I wish I could spread
Nice thoughts
That would make a change
Instead of this, our banal lot.
Sometimes I wish I could
Really love,
Feel what everyone
Talks so much of.
Sometimes I wish I could be
So much more
Than I am but
But if you can’t pay the piper,
Then don’t ask him to play,
And if you can’t make a difference
Then you have to stay the same.

I always feel so depressed. Like I can't do anything in the world, and honestly, I really can't. I'm a kid, with no influence or impact, save a negative one for the energy and food I use up, on the world. I guess this was a product of those thoughts.
