I fear my fears

I can't remember
When
My fear of
Myself
Took the place
Of my fear
Of the monsters
In my
Closet.
I believe that the
Fear is still
There;
It was just consumed
By my bigger
Fears
And
It, like my previous fears,
Remain
Helplessly attached to the
Inner core of
My being.
I feel them there.
They are
Waiting
For my bigger fears
To grow
Weak
So they can
Take me over,
From the inside
Out.
I fear my fears
Will be
The death
Of
Me.
