Smile little Darlin
Trapped in this room alone
No one sees and no one knows
A little girl I never got to be
A grown up child was all they choose to see
Smile little darlin,
Its okay to close your eyes
Sleep tight, everything will be fine.
Midnight journeys to lands unknown.
All the kings and all the queens never took the time to see,
The ugly reality.
Like the witch had Snow white snowed,
They choose not to see what they do not know.
Fairytales and memories never seemed to be quite the scene
Like Rapunzel locked in tower far away,
So high up above.
Nothing to see when she looked around
Long locks were cut , no way to get down.
Smile little darlin.
Its okay to close your eyes
Sleep tight, everything will be fine.
Cinderella had her fairytale, then so it seemed,
Ripped away
No longer a fairytale dream.
Unlike Beauty no one takes the time to look beneath the beast.
Go ahead and cry little darlin.
You should know by now not to close your eyes
Because nothing ever turns out alright.
