Oh how you try
To flap your wings
To flap your wings and fly.
You hear them say:
"The day you soar
Is a day closer to the one you die"

Still, You're young
You're naive
You don't really care
You're ready to take that dare
You puff your chest
Finally
You think you're prepared to leave your nest

You leap down
With the courage of a lion
No time to think
No time to second guess
You're free
You feel the wind under your wings
Then in less than a second
The panic sets in

Oh how you tried
To flap your wings
To flap your wings and

Fly
