A quilled piece of paper wrapped up in musky bottle at sea,
Resilient resilience it showed,
The untamed waters,
The octopi with clammy arms,
The sharks rabid with hunger,
None made their mark on the glassy parchment,
Out to land it went,
It had people waiting,
Waiting to read the words,
That stood among fierce battalions,
And I know,
But still hope,
That it will
Not drown.
