Hating Hannah
Hating Hannah
was easier
than I expected.
In turning on her altogether,
she became a target, an
an endless source for
fun and laughter-
It brought us all together,
and pushed her even farther from us
Hating Hannah
was the tie that bound us,
a sad, freckled-face alibi
for cruel treatment and
unintentional hatred
Hating Hannah
was easy
Reiterating rumors
was even easier
Laughing shamelessly,
was the easiest thing
that I’ve ever done
But knowing no one
was hard for her
Being bullied
was even harder
Standing alone
is the hardest thing she’ll ever endure
Hating Hannah
was easier
than I expected, because
Learning to be an individual
was harder
than I could ever imagine.
