i am from
I am from that single mom who worked a lot, loved and cared
That lonely dad who loved me but was never there
I was that lonely kid, who had no friends
Who always had to play pretend
Nana and grandpa wanted us close
So we moved near the ones we loved the most
Living in Oshkosh was new to me
All new friends and places to be
I met a boy named Peter Lenz
He had very curly hair we became good friends
I got into sports flag football and such
I was so fast I couldn’t be touched
Baseball with the scout’s soccer with the Y
All of the sports I wanted to try
Summers were fun spending time at the lake
We played all day had fires and stayed up late
I learned how to fish put worms on the hook
I would cast for the big one for a picture in my photo book
It was in the second grade when I met my best friend
We would hang every day
We would laugh and we would play
They had a cabin but not on a lake
Instead of fish they would bait
This is how my obsession with hunting began
Now all I invasion is a prize buck in my sight
You surly know my black deadly carbon arrow will take flight
Now you know who I am and where I am from
