I am From 3 open heart surgeries,
spending multiple months
surrounded by the same white hospital walls.
From my first brown teddy bear,
my first Pepsi soda,
and my first sandbox that had a lot of toy trucks.
I am from loosing my best friend,
to mouth cancer.
From eating macaroni and cheese
at my grandmas house every summer.

I am from my toy cars and tractors,
pushing them on the brown hardwood floor.
From every summer going out on lake Winnebago
with my dad eating PB&J sandwiches
and catching perch to fry later.

I am from Titan stadium watching North beat up on West,
in their green jerseys and gold pants.
From my play room, with blue carpet,
imagining it was water,
and playing with my toy boats.

I am from 1246 cedar St.
My first house I lived in,
that I will never forget.
I loved that house because I loved my room,
it was upstairs separated from everything else.
From my mom saying
“You are a winner if you show up”’
after each baseball game.
From a neat and tighty house,
and my mom cleaning everyday.

I am from having my shirts always tucked in.
T-shirts, dress shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts,
it did not matter.
From now wearing sports apparel,
such as Badgers, Packers, Brewers and some of the teams I’ve played on, and
American Eagle, Hollister and Aeropostale.

I am from my brown baseball glove,
And my black Hair 32” Flat screen TV,
My most valuable items to me,
Because I love baseball, it my escape from life.

I am from watching the Wisconsin badgers, Green Bay Packers,
and the Milwaukee Brewers on TV.
Listening to any kind of music,
weight lifting at Oshkosh North,
playing call of duty,
and eating my favorite sandwich,
white bread with, honey mustard, cheese, ham, BBQ sauce, mayo, lettuce,
and sun chips.

I am proud of who I am, who I became,
the struggles in my past, that made me who I am today.
