Why do you look down on me, cherry tree?
You are tall and grown while I’m on the floor.
Are you too arrogant to care about me?
With your perfect style, elegance and more.
Do you wish you could flee from this bad place?
Your slender trunk doesn’t deserve such fright.
You’ll find a place where life isn’t a race?
Good luck on your trip and do what you might.
Wouldn’t you keep where you are for me though?
To make here just a little more decent.
Would just seeing you make their day less low
It would, and now could be much more recent.
Cherry tree will you please care for us all?
You inspire us to get up if we fall.
