Warmth

Sometimes I wish
I could simply crawl into
My tabby cat's ear,
And for awhile just disappear.
As you know it's very toasty
Inside the ear of a kitty,
And escape this disease,
which wraps its icy, cold, unforgiving fingers around my body.
Turning me blue and purple,
Slowly stopping the blood from flowing,
Sucking the life out of my veins.
Thank you, Raynaud's disease.
But thank you Cat, for your warm, safe ear,
And thank you Cat, for accepting my tears.

I just like to think of my cat's ear as a warm place- a place where I can finally escape what I'm going through. Thanks for your comment. I really love hearing feedback, though I rarely get any. I will be sure and check out your work.
