Nightmares.

Screams awake me in the night. I'm shaking, my skin is cold. You take the air I breathe, you monster. What has become of you, what has become of me. I rest my eyes for a second, & i awake to your ghastly presence. I'm in another universe. cold, alone, waiting. waiting to hear the voice of the only thing that has stood between me & another dimension. You open your mouth to speak, and I wake. I'm sweating, heart beating faster than any metronome. Look what you do to me. stop the madness & let me fade into an everlasting darkness.
