You Don't Understand
You don't understand
That I'm not trying to be rude.
You think I'm weird when I put up a fight because I didn't want you to wash her clothes she gave me.
If you wash them, which you did,
It would wash away her scent.
I don't want you to go in my room,
Because I have special things in there that if you see,
You will take them away.
I can't live without them.
I don't want you to wear her clothes she gave me,
Because then they will loose her scent,
Her body shape,
I don't want you to wear the jewerly she gave me,
Because then it will be more yours than hers or mine.
I don't want you to say certain things,
Because then it's not only her line or saying.
I don't want you to look at those pictures,
Because then you will share the memories too,
But you have no right to.
They are only our memories.
I don't want you to treat me like your my sister,
Because she is my sister,
I don't want you to read what I write about her,
Because you won't understand what it means.
I don't want to talk about her,
Because then you will ask me about her,
And you won't like the stories I tell you,
Or you'll critize her,
Or you'll try to change the subject.
You think I'm weird
Because I love her
More than you
Because she's my sister
And your not.
You tell me to stop crying over her.
But you don't know how I feel,
Because you can see your sister whenever you want.
You can talk to your sister whenever you want.
You haven't been through what I've been through.
You haven't had your sister tell you she doesn't love you
Or she doesn't want to see you.
You don't have the bond with your sister that I do.
You want me to change,
To give more attention to you than my sister.
But I never will.
Because I love her more than you.
Even if she doesn't want to see me anymore,
She will always be my sister,
And I will always love her more than you.
