Favorite Quote:
... with malice towards none and charity for all - Abraham Lincoln

If angels are perfect, humble and pure
you must have come from heaven.
If birds are free, precious and can endure
the pain of life here on earth
you must belong in the sky.
You enable my wings, bestow my worth
in you I found the meaning of life.

If a melody can soothe, can captivate, can heal
you must be the rhythm of my heart.
If words can express, can provide, can feel
the abundance of love you eternally show
you must be the voice in my mind.
You sing me to sleep, your song is my pillow
From you I understand the relevance of time.

After all and forever in your procession
I will always love my angel in heaven.

I wrote this poem for my grandmother a few years after her death. Writing this gave me a sense of closure and yet a great sense of heart ache.
