I ogle at my future,
Left lingering behind forever,
Eternally servant to time,
Trepidation evident as every tick is aroused,
Uncertainty crescendos as I envisage what will be,
In the indefinite I get lost.

I saunter to my past,
Perpetually at my heels,
I reminisce in memories,
Clutching every phantasm,
Every discourse,
Every emotion,
Attempting to understand,
Striving for certainty in my intentions.

I stand in my present,
Enduring the change,
Erected through the muddle of my thoughts,
The compilation of life delineates me,
I venture to dictate life,
Ultimately life is not subordinate,
So what am I to do but just go along with it.
