Hidden Truth
You hide the cuts,
Cover the bruises,
Put on your mask,
And go.
You smile to them,
Hide it all,
But they still wish to know.
How are you?
How you feel?
Are you OK???
You scream "IM FINE"
Finally you’re alone,
Tears fall down,
Itching to destroy,
Losing your light.
With each slice,
You lose yourself,
When you know what’s right
You start to fade,
Running from it all,
In a shell,
Away from them.
They get on your nerves,
Telling you to stop,
Same darn thing,
Every freaking day.
They never get it,
The truth they want,
As you wish to go away.
You call to the dark,
For your escape,
As you fall,
To no return.
