That which is
Beyond the moonlight within rests a vibrant heart so bold
Gushing blood to warm deep down the numbness and the cold
For the maroon crescent within her eyes twinkles in the dead of night
The blueness trickles down the masks of her eyes, distorting all sight
For she has forgotten of her beauty so deep, so rich, and so pure
Her identity lost to the blind that surround her as her convoluted emotions stir
Amongst anger and fear, sorrow and truth she hides behind a deceiving grin
Allowing the mirror to judge what she ambiguously portrays is within
Yet hide she does behind the smile etched so deep that one cannot deny its accuracy
For upon the sunlit face hope exudes from every honorable glance her tenacity
