I Am

I am the girl with the notebook
I wonder why the pencil is mightier than the sword
I hear the crinkling of paper and the clicking of pens.
I see the sky a purple hue across the horizon.
I want my writing to scream volumes above the rest.
I am the girl with the notebook

I pretend that the day goes slowly as I rush to the bus.
I feel the worlds of my characters.
I touch the hearts of my readers,warm and tender.
I worry about the world.
I cry for the weak and weep for the strong.
I am the girl with the note book.

I understand that 2+2= 4 but who made that true.
I say that the world is not perfect or not even close.
I dream that my writing takes me to far off worlds.
I try to speak volmes but writers write not speak.
I hope I hope I am not stupid and naive.
