Here We Sit
Here we sit;
crashed up, smashed up
slathered in our own humanity
at the bottom of a muddy dried up well
where tunnels are the only thing that
keep us constant with the times;
here we sit, squalid and young and naieve
here we sit, the epitome of new breath
and new life
and the image of a new world;
here we sit, hear us roar.
