Glorious Scars

These scars will be here forever,
a perfect badge of honor,
displaying my victory in the battle,
the battle between you and me,
me and depression,
or even life in general,
these scars make me both ugly and pretty,
some you can't see,
for they reside on my heart,
others are in clear view,
all in all,
I'm proud to say these scars will remain forever,
both a curse and a blessing,
reassurance the war is over,
and that there's more to come...
