Never forget me
My laughing, effervescent personality
My courage and tenacity
For the apple is next to the tree
Forever and ever

Yesterday is but a thought away
And you will always be on my mind

I feel the September wind
In it, is your voice
Your love and life
It feeds my soul
So please don't go

The author's comments:
This poem is a letter to my grandmother. My grandma passed away six years ago because of general health problems and she was my love and life. She is always with me and I I hope that whoever reads this poem will think of someone that has left this life and look on them with fondness. Because they are never more than a thought away.
