The Distance Between Two Hearts
I'm rubbish at math, but even I know
how to find the distance between two points.
Something about roots, square ones,
and putting things together and taking them away.
Finding the distance between two people,
between two hearts, shouldn't be much more difficult.
However, the formula is incorrect.
Someone forgot to include things like truth and lies,
things like overthinking and words gone unspoken.
Things like fears that pass by in moments, heartbeats,
before they can be acknowledged and appeased.
The distance between two hearts is not always
addition, subtraction, and square roots.
Sometimes it's more; it's much, much more.
