A Span of Forever

When I was little, I looked up to you
You were charming and handsome
You saved me with dignity and grace
A span of forever was in place
Now I'm empty and it's showing
The juices of life are just not flowing
Sitting in my tower asking, "Where is my handsome prince going?"
It's been so long since your touch
But not much can appease because it's them over me
As far as I can see
I'm confused
My emotions abused
My once perfect heart has fallen apart
And now I pray
That you'll find a way for me
Yet I've cried and watched my heart die
Maybe he wasn't my real prince
Maybe I wasn't the daughter he thought I'd be
