Bright sun
Humid air
Large smiles
No cares

Little shops
Open doors
Crowded streets
Tourists galore

Vibrant flowers
Tall trees
Sweet scents
Warm breeze

I dream of Hawaii
While I’m stuck here
But I have my tickets;
The time is near

The author's comments:
I've been to Hawaii four times, and every time I think, "I've already been to tropical places so much. Why can't we go somewhere snowy for once?" But then, when we get home, I find myself longing to go back. I wrote this a couple months before my dad and I went to Maui for a diving trip, so we already had the tickets.
