"If you do not love yourself, then who shall other than thee almighty?"
"Be like a postage stamp, stick to something until you get there"

Expel these sins within me,
cast them hastily into a barrel,
set them a flame
let the ashes billow in the wind
let my hands restrain as i reach thee end.

Cut out my flaws
wipe the blade clean of my tainted blood
set the rag of flaw a flame
watch my skin quickly re-mend
my immortal cannot be stripped as my body descends

Puncture my skin with holy water
dry you're fingers on a towel
set the towel a flame
watch my skin heal after the water slowly drys
see the blood trailing from these lonely eyes?

Last...
Shove the beast!
watch her flail into a seventeen foot pit of nails and knives
set the coffin a flame
im unworthy of any proper disposal
I knew of this when i signed dear satins proposal.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem when I watched a history documentary about immortality. I was fascinated at how people would bargain with satin and sell their souls just to achieve some 'great' task in life. There is no going back and that is what my poem stems from.
