Running Away

As i lay to sleep,
on this gloomy night,
i think of you,
with your eyes closed tight.
i hope they open again,
for if they never do, i will lay with you,
never again to wake from the slumber.
lives left behind.
tears will fall.
we'll leave empty spaces,
running away from it all.
we'll be together,
wish smiles upon our faces.
