A good place to hide was

Dark-

Light.

Sun, stabbing surfaces

Unsuspecting.

Wood, leaves, dirt, berries.

I climb

High from low, into

Shelter.

Voices erased,

Words overtaken,

Smells replaced,

Memories shapen.

Sing for me you weary birds!

Tell of my

Sins

Wisest trees!

Diffuse my childish

Worries-

Caged, alone, forgotten.

Engulf my

Sight, rare beauty

Unnoticed-

Amaryllis belladonna.

Keep me

Safe!

Accusers, abusers, violent eruptions-

Evil reigns without!

Never!

Will I leave this

Protection .

This soul,

drawn by

unspoken mysteries.

Remember me?

World of

Brilliance –

Again to meet.

This is a memory of my favorite place to hide, which were the woods in front of my home.
