Insecurity

She sighs as the tears wash away her smile.
Her happiness and energy merely a show.
Just wanting to belong.
No one knows the pain behind her laugh.
The nights she's spent crying
All alone.

No

No one sees that she's falling apart,
She's hid it for so long.
She doesn't know what to do,
And as she lies in bed at night,
She wonders what it would be like to be someone else.
She just needs someone to take the pain away.

Numb her heart.

She refuses to hurt anymore.
Just wants to have less heartache,
Less problems.
Less tears...
That will never happen.
Her final thoughts before falling asleep

Dreaming of a better life...

Only to wake up in the morning,
And put on a show with that beautiful face,
only to mask the heartache and pain.
Maybe some day someone will see through her false display of perfection
and find her pain.
Seek out the confident girl that has drowned in this sea of insecurity,

And make her feel beautiful.
