Nightmares

Please little darling don’t tell me of your nightmares, the things you see only scare me more.
The haunting pain inside your eyelids terrorizing you in your sleep.
Whispers calling you back in to your parlous dreams, these haunted ships fighting through the storm.
I only hope to be your shining light in battle, leading your way into the fight.
Please love hold my hand into the darkness, and show me the way to your heart.
