let’s make leaf-boats again,
watch them glide along the creek,
and follow them in our rain boots
you and I were something special
let’s paint together again,
dipped brushes in our hands,
and blank canvases laid out to conquer
you and I began to crack
let’s feel the music once again,
fancy dresses and candy red lights,
with our eyes mere inches away
you and I crumbled into nothing
let’s watch the stars again,
with the night sky above us,
and hushed laughter
don’t you see?
you and I are meant to be repeated
again
and
again
and
again
