Saying goodbye, not as hard as living alone after the fact
Watching you be happy, not as hard as knowing I am not there
Starting a life of your own, not as hard as me not being a part of it
Making new friends, not as hard as being replaced
Creating new memories, not as hard as only having old ones to cling to
Becoming a different person, not as hard as accepting I don't know you anymore

The author's comments:
My sister just left for college and I miss her a lot. I needed to vent but didn't want to bother her with these feelings, fears, and thoughts.
