I'd Wait For You Forever
The black pavement burns the souls of my bare feet.
But I push the pain from my mind,
And I wait for you.
The wind attempts to shake and break my body.
But I stand strong, in place,
And I wait for you.
The snow hails down to freeze my face.
But I the thought of you keeps me warm,
And I wait for you.
The rain pours down with no mercy.
But I push the showers from my eyes,
And I wait for you.
And so, my dear, it should be clear,
No matter what the weather,
I push the pain from my mind,
And I’ll wait for you forever.
