Favorite Quote:
"If everybody was satisified with himself there would be no heros"--Mark Twain

You’re just a ghost,
A memory from better times:
Burned into my mind
And scarring my heart.
I remember every moment with you,
Every look we share,
And every word you ever said.

At one point I thought I loved you
And you, me.
But now I realize we were just friends—
I had more love for you than you had for me.

But don’t think I regret it,
Don’t think I have feeling for you.
Because I cherish everything—
The tears as much as the laughs
And I will never forget you.

P.S. I still love you.

The author's comments:
This was written as a "letter" to someone I really care about. In the vein of talking to this person, I wanted to make the poem somewhat melancholy (as it is hard to get over someone you care about) but as we were close friends, I wanted to show that I still look fondly on our friendship.
