I don’t want to be a princess
I don’t want to worry about my hair
And whether I’m the fairest or not
I don’t want to wait in a tower
For some stupid prince that may or may not come
And I certainly don’t want to look for that “happily ever after” that may or may not happen

I don’t want to be a princess
I want to be free and strong enough to make my own decisions
And be able to deal with the consequences
I want to find my own true love—
Someone who will hold me and make me feel beautiful
And I certainly want my life to be an adventure that will be more magical than a fairy tale
