Winter is like summer in her mind
Winter is like summer
in her mind:
A sharp
twisting
pain of hunger
is a moment of
all-encompassing ecstasy:
Her masquerade fools
no one:
All see the truth
behind veiled eyes:
Mind vacant but for
ever-present self
contempt
~ ~ ~
Upon a star
she wishes she could
cut it all away:
Elation misplaced when
heads turn at
the sight
of protruding bones:
Perfection is
a delusion:
Yet still she strives
to conform
to the image created
by the
untouchables
