His features twist
into an ugly mask,
as words are spit from his pursed lips;
they mock every move she makes.
Even when his tongue
does not speak
the evil words,
The eyes convey all thoughts.
She sits in her cell,
because he,
unbeknown-st to
the prying eyes of society,
put her there years ago.
The dark part of his soul broke all the spirit in hers;
they love no longer.
The beautiful woman,
who sits as the one
she handed her heart to,
tears her apart
bit by bit.
She stays in her cell,
and though her body
moves at her will throughout
the world,
her mind can never be freed.
