Pondering Wondering
As I walked I saw many things,
 things one wouldn’t see

 walking down a bustling city sidewalk

 Out in the country the birds

 sang the most beautiful songs

 the sky, so vividly blue

 and spotted with puffy white clouds

 a sprinkler dribbled drops of crisp

    refreshing cold water

 as the sweltering summer heat beat down upon my face;

 Just then a butterfly flew past and I was dumbfounded

 by the baffling blue wings with a bold black outline.
 The beauty of the world around us is astounding,
 yet we destroy it and build cities instead.
