Nothing was the Same...
Nothing was the same,
now that it was night.
Light changed to dark
and my hope into ash.
Trapped in a white room,
surrounded by no sound.
Yet as I turned around,
colors exploded and sounds poured in.
Like ghost released
from the depth of a prison.
Up was like down,
and down was like up.
My universe had turned upside-down,
where the sea floated and the sky flowed.
Like canceled checks in an abandoned boat,
I was an outlaw-- rejected forever.
