Sometimes, I think this street is lonely
But how can it be
when every hour of everyday
hundreds of universes speed past each other
some encased in metal and glass and fumes and controlled air
others guarded by curved shoulders, downturned heads, distant eyes, silence. . .
so none of them have to interact
Yes, this street is very lonely
