a snowflake
landing on my face,
for a moment,
it shimmers.
it is beautiful
uniquely precious,
but in a moment
it melts.
i am
left cold,
completely bare.
happiness
or what I know of it,
has left me.

Life is filled with the fragility and impermanence of what may be happiness. Though it appears in many forms, it comes and goes not to please, but as it pleases.
